The summer is here and it’s the right time for a fresh and healthy salad! I’m here for you with the best traditional greek salad recipe. Ready in less than 10 minutes! Enjoy it cool and fresh!

Yield: 1 bowl

Ingredients

  • 2 medium red tomatoes, in large slices
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced
  • 1 green pepper, sliced
  • 6 green or black olives
  • 1 big slice of feta cheese
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp caper

Directions

  1. Rinse all your vegetables (tomato and cucumber).
  2. In a large bowl, cut the tomatoes into large slices, 8 slices per tomato.
  3. Also add the sliced cucumber, onion and green pepper.
  4. Add the salt and then put the feta cheese on top.
  5. Now it’s time to add the olives, capers and olive oil.
  6. Finally add the dried oregano and enjoy!

Notes

  • Storage: Store your greek salad in the fridge for a day although it is better to consume immediately.
  • Served: Served with
    • fresh toasted bread, 
    • tzatziki sauce,
    • beetroot sauce.
