Ingredients

  • 1 large ripe avocado
  • 2 tbsp greek yogurt or unsweetened plant-based yogurt
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar or 1/2 fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp crushed nuts of your choice (optional if you want to add some crispiness into the creamy texture)

Directions

  1. Put all the ingredients in a food processor.
  2. Mix them for 1-2 min until they become a creamy soft sauce.
  3. Optionally, rest the creamy avocado sauce for 5 minutes in the fridge, to let the flavors meld together.
  • If you don’t have a food processor or you don’t mind that much for a creamy texture then mix all the ingredients together in a small bowl with a fork.

Notes

  • Storage: Store your creamy avocado sauce in the fridge for up to a couple of days. It’s better to consume it fresh right away.
  • Variations: Feel free to:
    • flavor it with more garlic,
    • add herbs such as dill, mint, parsley, and thyme,
    • skip the greek yogurt (or the unsweetened plant-based yogurt).
    • add some crushed nuts for an additional texture to your healthy dip!
    • The alternatives are countless based on your personal taste.
