This easy and delicious dish is the best mashed potatoes recipe! Everyone’s ideal side dish with two of my favorite ingredients! Purée with potatoes and sweet potatoes! Perfect to serve it with fish and meat fillets, or with vegan steaks and burgers. Also, super yummy with caramelized onions on top. Very easy to make and delicious to taste!

Yield: 4 portions

Ingredients
- 3 large potatoes, peeled
- 1 large sweet potato, peeled
- 50 gr butter
- 1 cup milk or unsweetened plant-based milk
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika, sweet, spicy or smoked
- 1 tsp dried thyme, optional
- 1 tsp garlic powder, optional

Directions
- Add water in a pot and put it in high heat to boil.
- Peel and cut in medium cubes the potatoes and the sweet potatoes.
- Add them in the pot and boiled them for about 20 minutes until they’re done.
- Empty the pot into a colander.
- With the potato ricer tool mashed half of the hot potatoes into the already hot pot.
- Add the butter and on the top of them the other half of the hot mashed potatoes.
- Add the milk, the grated parmesan, and the herbs and the spices and stir well until it becomes smooth and creamy puree.
Notes
- Storage: Store leftovers in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Variations:
- Flavored it with more garlic.
- Add fewer potatoes and more sweet potatoes depending on your taste and of course depending on what you already have in your pantry.
- Instead of milk, you can add sour cream (1/2 cup).
- Add more or less butter and milk depending on your taste, to adjust the texture of the puree as you wish.
- Served: Served with
- pita bread,
- toasted bread with olive oil and oregano on the top,
- caramelized onions on the top,
- fillets of fish or meat,
- vegan steak
