Do you have a busy day and need a quick and tasty side dish? This recipe for boiled potatoes is the best! Needs the minimum prep and cooking time and no effort!
An ideal side dish for your fish, or meat fillet, your vegan steak, and your (vegan) burgers. If you are not into them it’s fine because these potatoes make a perfect match with your fresh green salad too!

Ingredients
- 500 gr baby potatoes, or whatever potatoes have in your pantry
- 1 tbsp butter, unsalted
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Add hot water in a big pot and put it in high heat temperature.
- Rinse well the potatoes and put them in the pot. I prefer not to peel them in this recipe.
- Boiled them for about 20 minutes until they become soft and ready to consume.
- Meanwhile, mix the spices and herbs together in a small bowl, you can choose the ones you prefer, it’s up to you.
- When the potatoes are ready, drain them and continue the recipe in two ways:
1st Way:
- Cut your potatoes in half add on top of them the amount of butter you prefer and seasoning them with your mixed spices.
2nd Way:
- Add one tablespoon butter in your hot pot, put back in the pot the hot boiled potatoes and the mixed spices, and stir all the ingredients together.
