If you don’t have a lot of time but you need a delicious dessert this is for you! Custard pie with cinnamon crust!

I remember my grandma making this pie all the time and the house smelled of cinnamon for hours! Best times ever!

So, this is a much easier recipe but the taste and the aroma are always there! It needs only 6 basics ingredients that we always have in our pantry and only 10 minutes preparation time! Plus, it hasn’t any dough or phyllo pastry but, the flour is going to settle and make its own crust. Isn’t that great?!

Ingredients

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 cups milk

1/4 cup unsalted butter

4 small eggs

1 pinch of salt

3/4 cup sugar

1 tbsp grated cinnamon

1/2 fresh lemon juice

1 pinch of vanilla, optional

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
  2. Put all the ingredients into a blender, except the grated cinnamon.
  3. Blend for half a minute until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Butter and sprinkle a 25 cm cake pan.
  5. Pour the mixture in your cake pan.
  6. Sprinkle with the grated cinnamon on the top.
  7. Bake at 180°C for 45 – 50 minutes.

Notes

  • Served: Served with
    • a delicious cup of coffee!
    • a glass of cool fancy water.
    • a ball of vanilla ice cream.
  • Variations: 
    • If you like vanilla flavor you can add some vanilla extract.
    • Add some crushed nuts on the top before you bake it.
  • Storage: keep in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to a week.
