Ingredients
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 3 tbsp plant-based milk of your choice
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- a pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips, melted
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients (the avocados, cocoa powder, plant-based milk, honey, or maple, or agave syrup, and vanilla extract) in a blender or food processor until completely combined and smooth.
- If you want a smoother consistency add a little extra plant-based milk until it is as creamy and silky as you enjoy.
- Transfer to serving bowls.

- Served: Served with:
- fresh strawberries, some coconut flakes, and mint leaves, or
- lemon, lime, or orange zest, and some nuts of your choice, or
- chili flakes, and lemon, lime, or orange zest, or
- a pinch of coarse salt and chili flakes, and crushed nuts of your choice.
- Variations: Add:
- a tablespoon of your favorite nuts to the food processor directly,
- the zest to the food processor directly too,
- orange and cinnamon.
- Tips: Use overripe avocados for this recipe! This is the secret for the perfect chocolate avocado mousse.
- Storage: Put the avocado chocolate mousse in the fridge for a while to thicken and chill or eat it right away. It is best consumed within two days at most.
