In a large bowl add water, olive oil, salt, sugar, and dry yeast and stir for half a minute until the sugar has melted.
Now add the flour in batches. Use a mixer (or hand mixer) with the hook attachment or knead by hand, until you have an elastic and soft dough. If the dough is too soft and does not come off the sides of the bowl, add another tablespoon of flour and continue until it comes off.
Transfer the dough to the cake pan, cover with a towel, and let it rise for an hour.
